Insulation and Welding Training Center

Part of SEC core values are to maintain the highest quality services and constant growth of staff skill set. Therefore, we are more than happy to announce that we have just opened in Gdańsk new Training and Testing Facility dedicated to welding and thermal insulation. The operator of the training centre will be SEC Operation Sp. z o.o. located in the industrial area of Twarda 12, Gdańsk 80-871 Poland.

A specialized facility suited to train people in the field of insulation and welding is 250 square metres large. Divined into 3 main areas, with 160 metres being dedicated to the Insulation workshop, 80 metres for the welding workshop, and a fully equipped social area including a canteen, lockers and showers.

The welding training centre has 4 fully equipped welding stations with MIG/MAG and TIG machines, welding tables, ventilation and all needed tooling. Additionally, for grooving and cutting activities, we have prepared a safe outdoor area. The stands are prepared to carry out tests on a wide range of materials, from carbon and stainless steel to aluminium and titanium. We also have a ventilated welding warehouse with active temperature and humidity control to ensure the proper storage of welding materials.

The insulation part contains 3 areas. Training area with 5 insulation stands designed for NORSOK training level standards. Each stand has dedicated ventilation and a fully equipped tooling box. Secound insulation area is an isolated, well-ventilated room dedicated to cutting and modelling high-dusting materials such as Pyrogel. This means that trainees can learn how to cut and install high-performance insulating material safely and correctly. Lastly but equally important, the Insulation warehouse that is suited to storage materials such us: Pyrogel, Ka-flex, Armaflex, foamglas and stainless steel boxes.

Soon, the first SEC employees will be able to undergo training in our training facility preparing for new projects.
